Antique Syrian profusely carved and mother of pearl inlay Savonarola chair- Circa 1890.
Rare pattern, in excellent condition for age.
This is similar to the classic Savonarola pattern, however the central back rest adds to stability of the chair. It does not fold as easily because of this, but there is the added benefit of increased stability and comfort.
As with all antique items from this period, there are small signs of wear and imperfections which do not detract from this items beauty or quality.
