Lovely pair of Indian silver bowls from early-mid 19th century.

This pair of silver bowls from Kutch, India is made of an allover open floral and foliate scrollwork with a central shield between two lions (the Indian national animal). Each bowl comes with a removeable brass liner. They are in fantastic condition for age, with outstanding workmanship.
Ornamental bowls such as these were highly sought after and were used by both Indian aristocracy and European clients as ornamental and decorative objects.
